It's Been a Minute Since We've Communicated!
Deborah ("Deb") Krier
Cancer Adcocate ? Communicator ? Business Podcast Host: I build coalitions, share knowledge, and empower cancer survivors and entrepreneurs to take charge of the things they CAN control to improve their quality of life.
I hope this email finds you in good health and high spirits. Things have been very busy since we last communicated!
Just Keep Going
As you may remember from our last newsletter, I was diagnosed in June with thyroid cancer. For those keeping track, that's cancer #3!?
Luckily #2 was basal cell carcinoma, an easy to treat skin cancer. Cancer #3 seems to be just as easy! I had my thyroid gland removed in July and because we caught it early, there will be no further treatment at this time. Yay!
People often ask how I keep such a positive outlook during all of this. My answer is that I just keep going. There are bad times, but far, far more good times!
I also try to keep a sense of humor. In fact, I think it's one of the best ways to make sure that cancer doesn't win!

It's Not Always Roses
Of course, we are talking about something very serious - and very scary. I'm often contacted by people who are newly diagnosed and are confused about what comes next. We don't even know what questions to ask.

1 年Being part of a Tribe is crucial. When I was fighting my battle, I gained a lot of strength by being part of a Tribe. Not only was I able to receive encouragement from people who REALLY understood what I was going through, but I gained even more strength when I was able to help someone else! The old adage says that there's strength in numbers and it's so very true!
