It's been great to pause, reflect & design the next phase in my life.

As we wrap up 2023, I’ve taken time to reflect on how I’ve spent my time and what I’ve accomplished this year.? It’s a rare gift to have the chance to pause, reflect and intentionally design the next phase in life.? And yet, that’s exactly how I’ve spent 2023.

We left New Jersey in December of ’22, a place we’d called home for 10 years and made our way West.?? We loved the time we had to explore the East Coast.? From NYC to Boston, from Virginia to Vermont and Maine and to Florida; the people, the history, the food, the geography; all priceless. The friends we made from our time on the East Coast are truly special people and we look forward to building new memories together as we travel the globe.

We are now settled into life in two beautiful places:? the Western Slopes of Colorado and Northern Scottsdale in the Sonoran Desert.?? From both of our homes, we look out onto the beauty of the outdoors and fabulous mountains.?

?In Colorado, we face Mt. Sopris, at nearly 13K feet, she’s stunningly beautiful. The Ute tribe?called the mountain?Wemagooah Kazuhchich, which is translated as “ancient mountain heart sits there.”? We trained for and climbed Mt. Sopris this Summer; my heart now sits there as well!

In Arizona, we’ve reconnected with old friends from the time we lived there in ’03-’06 and made new ones.? We are playing lots of golf and walking/hiking daily.?? Here we look out onto Pinnacle Peak; a mountain that’s much easier to climb than Sopris.

We’ve treasured our time with friends and family, with weddings every month throughout the Summer.? I’m happy to have more time with my mother who, diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, is declining quickly, therefore making time so very precious. Darrell and I celebrated our 40th anniversary in Italy this Spring; I am blessed to have him as my soulmate and partner.

I’ve framed the 2nd chapter of my career journey; and am thrilled to be working with intelligent, purpose driven leaders that are driving transformative change in their industries and doing so with respect to DE&I and sustainability while delivering for a balanced set of stakeholders.?? I’m honored to join them in their mission.?

?I sit on the boards of John Deere (NYSE: DE), F5 (NASDAQ: FFIV) and York Space Systems.? I’m an Operating Partner at Digital Gravity Infrastructure Partners, a member of Aptiv’s ATAC and an Advisor for Cohesity.?? I’m thrilled to spend time with the amazing women of JOURNEY to Lead and the NGO Mission Possible Partnership team, driving acceleration of carbon footprint reduction responsibly.?

I’m proud to be working with amazing leaders, board members and managers who are committed to making the world a better place.?? They work hard, have fun, and deliver results.?? It’s a gift to choose who, how and where I’ll engage and to do so with intention and in alignment with the things that are important to me.? Life truly is a choice.

We live in a tumultuous world where war rages on, the geopolitical environment is complicated and messy, the macro-economic environment is uncertain, and we are experiencing more natural disasters than ever before.? And yet, there has never been a better time to be alive.? Technology is solving big problems and changing the way we all live, work and play.? It is our job to bring the humanness; showing kindness and respect to those we engage with.?? I’m bullish and optimistic that ’24 will be a good year; the choice is up to us!?? I wish each of you and your family good health, peace and joy in the new year.?
