It's Been An Amazing Week
Now I've started to write weekly about the adventures of the week.
Monday kicked off with my morning network group which is now THE HOUR OF POWER first thing on a Monday morning as the Kettering Business Network weekly meeting moves to a monthly meeting going forward. then it was off to do some great podcast interviews with Nicola Moss from Moss Social and Clare Elsby from Elsby & Co who is also the Regional Leader for the Federation of Small Businesses as well as spending time attending a webinar on goal setting led by Alison Edgar - the Entrepreneurs God Mother.
Tuesday, I spent some time with Victoria Bailey from Bigger Brighter Bolder as I look to take on their coaching programme and I look forward to the journey ahead. I also attended the Linked In Local event on line led by the team at Wilson Browne Solicitors and it was great to hear from Dr Adam Marshall from the British Chambers of Commerce about what the future looks like and how the Chambers are talking to the Government about business matters. After that it was off to the Northamptonshire Chamber of Commerce event to listen to Scott Jones from 123 Internet about digital marketing and then onto the Lets Talk Small Business group on a Tuesday afternoon to talk marketing.
Wednesday, I was off to lead our Kettering Business Network meeting where attendees came away with a list of some great marketing ideas for their businesses before spending some time with Geoffrey Prince and talking networking on his weekly Zoom call. After that it was a conversation with Rachel Mallows MBE from the Mallows Company for the Northamptonshire Business podcast about the Weetabix Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards and a catch up with Mark Exley for the podcast about Gravitas HR and how they have been helping business during these challenging times. After that it was straight to the Connect Business Networking meeting to meet up with people in the Peterborough area (a great meeting led by Jason Yearwood). After that, the day still wasn't over as I was on NLive Radio 106.9FM, Northampton's local radio station, talking to Ken Punter about podcasting and then recorded a podcast with Geoffrey Prince talking about his 50 plus years in business.
Thursday was equally as busy as I kicked off the morning with a great conversation with Susan Risdale at her Natural Business Network meeting, attended the East Northants Business Network, had a great meeting with Nicola Greenwood from Sew Special Soft Furnishings, attended the weekly motivational network meeting led by John Haynes from the International Coaching Academy and finished up with another brain storming session about marketing ideas.
And then there was today kicking off with another great session at my Lets Talk Small Business Meet Up on a Friday morning and what a session. We discussed the importance of taking a break from business and how we can save ourselves time during these challenging times. Straight after, I Zoomed to the Market Harborough Business Network when we had a great presentation from Jon Britain from the Upskill Group.
We've also had a busy week at Poppy Design Studio and have launched some new websites for our clients as well as being here for our clients during these challenging times. It's been challenging for a lot of people and our clients are always at the forefront of our minds. We also launched our own podcast challenge for the business and it's now live on Spotify, Googlecasts and Apple. You can listen to our latest podcast here.
So a well earned break is required and I look forward to the weekend to get some down time and rest time as well as walk the dog and plan next week's adventures!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Well done Simon Cox - it is great to see your engagement and excitement - a true leader you are!
