The market is full of self-fulfilling prophesies. One of them is that a small business can’t win a deal over a big, more established brand.
On this webinar I choose to share some thoughts on this subject. The market has changed and we need to understand that in the end - all businesses is managed by humans. Just like you and me.
I’ve been in sales and business for over 25yrs by now. Started my first company when I was 18 when I was in the entertainment industry, having a DJ company that also arranged clubs and private parties.
I remember when I started, I wanted to contact the bigger restaurants and nightclubs. But I was so ashamed to do so because I considered myself as a nobody - and the owners was so "successful" from my point of view. A mentor told me then that I should think like that and he reminded me to remember that these people are taking a shit every day to (meaning they are only human). From that day on I never felt the same way of contacting the "bigger" brands. Since then I have had car washes, been in the wellness industry etc. etc.
When I started the Vimentis VIP program, I really got a chance to see the small business and startup community from the inside. No matter if I am in Sweden or around the world, some of the challenges remains universal and it amazes me that this is a growing problem. Luckily, we can do something about it.
When startups, entrepreneurs or small business owners go out there they tend to look for the lowest hanging fruits. In many cases I think it’s a good idea since it’s a great way to close some quick deals, getting the cashflow going and build up the confidence. But many of these entrepreneurs get stuck there, even though they dream of something else. Why? Because they lack knowledge and self-confidence to HOW they can compete with a bigger competitor once they end up in a situation where the client is choosing between them and a giant.
To find the opportunity to listen, you need to create the opportunity to listen for you client
So, we need a plan. We need to be smarter. The webinar will give you an introduction of how to do this. Hope you enjoy, dare to be great friends.
