Repeat after me - it's allowed to be easy.
We could look at a handful of houses and end up buying the first house we put an offer on. (?????♀? this happened to me)
We could spend an hour with a coach, clearly define what type of job we want next and apply to one company, do two rounds of interviews, get an offer and start a new job next week. (?????♀?this just happened to my client)
We could tell our mechanic we're selling our car, he could find someone who wants it within 24 hours, and we could sell it to them. (?????♀? this just happened to me)
We could say yes to go on a girls’ trip to Costa Rica a month before the flight leaves and have a fabulous time and instantly make new friends. (?????♀? so glad this was me)
We could want flowers in our office, go outside and cut some daffodils and toss them in a pretty vase. (?????♀? guilty again)
We could hire one vendor on the spot rather than interviewing 4, taking all 4 quotes and then making the decision. (?????♀? I just did this with my house cleaner + my plumber)
We can decide to make things easy.
Our brains are used to having to work for it more. My brain definitely wants everything to be hard - my default mode is that it isn't worth it if you don't have to work for it. We're used to wearing our busyness and hustling on our sleeves like badges of honor. But what if it were easy?
I've been playing around with this idea a lot. And I'll tell you, when I look for how easy things are (and choose to let things be simple and easy instead of making them more difficult), I get more done with less drama, in less time and with less effort.
So help me keep this going - what's been easy for you lately?
