Our next?phase is about doing more through tech, building skills and launching careers?with?trusted partners pledging to make a difference.

It's ALL in your HEAD...MENTAL HEALTH matters!

Mental Health seems to be a tricky conversation.

As humans, we are socialised into believing that unless it's your physical health,?the mental health side of things doesn't matter and worse of all.

it's all in your head.

Thanks to this statement, I have lost friends, colleagues and even stable income - why? Because I didn't fit the mould of the typical person with "issues", it was easier to dismiss than to discuss.?

Did you know that?LMF?started because I was lonely? My head wasn't in a good place, and I had lost my sense of self??I was desperate to get out of my funk and meet like-minded friends that I thought, what the heck, let's organise a brunch and banter over some morning pancakes.?

With?1 in 4 of us feeling unwell and the crisis of loneliness only rising, it's time we have these discussions - not for them, but ourselves.?The heightened expectation of productivity, the pressure we put on ourselves to get things right and our constant chase for success limit our?focus on our health; mind, body, soul and spirit.

For that reason, we have a few tips on what you can do to better your mental health:

  1. Pick up some new books and get lost in the stories ??
  2. Go outside, attempt to spend 1 hour daily walking away from distractions ??
  3. Organise brunches, coffees and catch-ups with friends or colleagues ?
  4. Please have a good cry ??, ?? a bag, sweat it out
  5. Create a brag bank, note down all accomplishments and milestones ??, and celebrate the wins ??
  6. Organise your calendar and delete what's not essential or value-aligned ??

Our only ask is for you to take care of yourself and always prioritise your wellbeing. As we welcome July into our lives, let's consider where our energy is best being served and where we spend too much time serving others.

Mental health encompasses emotional, psychological, and social wellbeing. It influences cognition, perception & behaviour. It also determines how an individual handles stress, interpersonal relationships, & decision-making. In the U.K., 1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem (like anxiety and depression) in any given week and in the U.S., 21% of adults experience unwell mental being.
