It's all about Knowledge
Two years ago I have read Stephen Covey’s book ‘’THE 7 HABITS OF HIGHLY EFFECTIVE PEOPLE’’ it’s fantastic, but HABIT #3: ‘’PUT THE FIRST THINGS FIRST ‘‘ made me pause for a while, do I do the important things first?
My routine work is replying to distributor’s emails, back and forth questions, getting updates about market conditions, forecasting, business travel, quotations, and tenders.
Lately, I came to the conclusion that I should spend the majority of my time on building my knowledge about remote markets to acquire a deep understanding of each market, it’s size, potential, competitors and our market share in it. All of this was inspired by the rule of ‘’FIRST THINGS FIRST’’.
Building knowledge in medical business necessitates daily access to all local medical business news in remote markets, so it’s a gradual process, and within time your knowledge about remote markets would be much stronger.
The power of knowledge is fascinating; your decisions are more accurate, your vision becomes longer, you make better assessments and distributors can’t mislead you!
The big challenge here, how limiting the sources that provide medical business news in the remote market are:
- Distributors, I need to coordinate with my distributors who have conflicting interests and are busy working with many other suppliers.
- Consultant, which is a waste of money, not up to date and don’t cover the entirety of remote markets.
- Newspaper, medical magazine ..etc , checking at least five official news paper in each country for 19 countries is insane and very time-consuming, especially since the amount of medical business news is huge but we are only interested in what matches our products.
Finding the solution for medical business news in remote markets is part of my first things to do, so after one year of working day and night on building a machine learning technology at Aumet Now you can be up-to date with all medical business news and tenders in 19 countries of the MENA region classified by your product range and you can easily share it with your distributors.
Thanks to knowledge in remote markets we could get a Mega contract from Sidra group in Qatar as we were the first company to know when they have established this center.
