It's all about the journey...

Nearly 15 years ago, Game Plan launched with a mission to guide athletes through their journey. Not long after, 美国北卡罗莱纳州立大学 Athletics became Game Plan’s first collegiate athletics partner. As part of their first-year student-athlete transition program, State used Game Plan’s athletic identity and interest assessments, which started us down a wonderful path of growing our company.

So it is fitting that years later, we decided to film our first commercial on State’s campus, working with several current student-athletes on Game Plan’s first featured short video.?

It is also fitting that these student-athletes are the beneficiaries of Game Plan’s first NIL arrangement. As a company, we feel strongly that college athletes should not only be able to realize their dreams of competing at the collegiate level, but also receive compensation for their work all while learning true life lessons that will serve them well now and most importantly, in their future.

In all, Game Plan worked with four different student-athletes from different sports and all different walks of life. In coordination with local video agency Trimark Digital and these four current student-athletes, we were able to help bring this vision to life.

Timing is everything

There are many that question the direction and even the future of college athletics. Heavy duty topics like NIL, mental wellness, sports wagering, conference realignment, transfer portal, social issues and so much more dominate the current conversation. We are at a time where it is easy, if not understandable, to forget what college athletics is all about.?

For us here at Game Plan , it has always been about the student-athlete.?

The grind. The ups and downs. The on the field. The off the field. The teammates. The coaches. For us, the student-athlete experience is the journey, and that is and always will be our true north.?

Through the years, we’ve been fortunate to work with many of the very best college athletics administrators and coaches - in fact, we’re lucky that a few have even decided to join our team! Athletics administrators and coaches work tirelessly to help guide the student-athlete and provide them a greater experience. Their “why” is deeply rooted in the student-athlete and the student-athlete experience.?

It’s not just on campus either - employers get student-athletes too! Many of the most productive organizations point directly to how athletes have impacted their team, culture and performance. The journey as an athlete prepares the individual for success in the workplace beyond measure.
