It's All Human Contact
My year, like yours, ends December 31. The writing year ends this Sunday. Ten more articles that algorithms will ignore completely. Would you rather have an echo chamber of sycophants who agree with you blindly or an echo chamber because no one reads your works?
Option two. I'm living it and it won't stop me from writing. What happened this year? I learned how to create a culture. There was an example of cyber bullying, many new relationships and I was treated in a subhuman manner by a representative of #HumansFirst. That relieves me from ever doing business with that group.
There are humans I dislike. That happens- you aren't going to like everyone and everybody is not going to like you. There is no reason to mention who disregarded me because he is a friend of valued connections. It doesn't pay to call out anyone negatively on social media.
Good News: That leads to many reads and profile views.
Bad News: It leads to nothing positive. People will give hate views and berate a total stranger.
That's what social media can be at this point. I cannot stand how "Human" has been marginalized into a hashtag. Some people have LinkedIn headlines stating they are "Human". That is a waste of space. Did we think you were a syndicate of cartoon mice in an overcoat and a floppy hat?
Why not write a headline stating "I breathe oxygen?" Welcome to planet earth. If you want to know what "Humans" are capable of? Ask the Kurds. Face to face conversations should not be that big of a deal.
You can engage in social intercourse any time with anyone. That is the only intercourse you can perform with anyone and everyone. Which brings me to disco. I am not part of the "Disco sucks" movement. That was a reaction to computerized music. It probably did not help that disco was enjoyed by minorities.
There was never a "Country Demolition Night" where a local DJ invited fans to bring their country records to a classic stadium (The original Comiskey Park was an iconic ballpark. Second Rate Field is not.) and berate white people in the south.
Chic and Donna Summer created timeless music. There were many silly songs under the disco umbrella. One that I never liked was Born to Be Alive. Patrick Hernandez has one chance to reach the pop charts. Were we born to be dead? Some were born to go through the motions.
I don't believe it is necessary to go out of the way to behave "Human". When second year basketball player Michael Jordan scored sixty-three points against the top seeded Boston Celtics; Larry Bird said that was "God disguised as Michael Jordan." It was a human effort and soon as the team around him rose to his level? Six championships.
As a bad job ended I was called out for requesting "Basic human decency." Since they were offended by the concept which should be as natural as breathing it was apparent I wasted enough time in a horrific office.
There are very few recollections from that black hole in my work history. There is a difference between losing faith in humanity and feeling #Human. Being nice to others is probably the easiest thing to accomplish. There is no reason to brag you are "human" to other people. Is it a subtle way to manifest superiority? If yes? To err is human. Don't make the same mistakes.

5 年Yes, #humansfirst seems like an odd thing to me.? What about #mefirst, or #cutedogsfirst.? But, then, most hashtags don't make sense.? Although, I do like my original #crazyoldunderwearfactory
