Einstein once said, “If I had an hour to solve a problem and my life depended on the solution, I would spend the first 55 minutes determining the proper question to ask, for once I know the proper question, I could solve the problem in less than five minutes.”
As the saying goes, “The quality of your life can be determined by the quality of your questions.”
Where can you start to develop a profound question asking ability? Our routines and often mental way of approaching challenges that pop up outside of our norms, keep us in a predictable state. We are working solely from experience.
Furthermore, any time you find yourself thinking, “I need to think about that,” notice the energy that that brings inside of you. That statement is declaring that the answer is far from you. You are also adding a tad of obligation and maybe a drop of compulsion energy to the process. Quite the cocktail!
Instead ask your future self! Now that I’ve solved this issue, what am I feeling? What am I seeing? What did I do to get here! Time is a made up concept. You can connect to yourself in both the past as well as the future. All are happening simultaneously.
