Its not all Doom and Gloom

One of the lessons I have learned in life is that the moment soon passes. There have been some very tragic events recently which have shown the very worst in human nature but then the responses have shown the very best too. For those of us not directly affected by the events we can extend empathy to those who have suffered and those who continue to suffer. I feel that the hospital staff, paramedics, first responders have been put under immense pressure as have the Police. I also have empathy for Theresa May who appears to be the target when perhaps there's more to this than meets the eye.

I think there are two things we should all strive to do:

  1. Talk to our neighbours. Get to know them. Don't let them be strangers.
  2. Challenge words or actions based upon assumptions. You know the sort of thing: "They are all like that." "Every (insert group title of your choice) can't be trusted. They hate us so I hate them."

If we treat each other the way we would wish to be treated. If we show respect and empathy-then we can all get through this.
