It’s all about the choice we make . Between losing control and losing temper.
Recently read an interesting article by one of the respected fraternity members. “ Don’t lost your temper! It could be career limiting”. Very insightful indeed .
As I reflected on my journey............
Losing temper is a consequence of losing control . This way temper gets baptised as a bad word.
Rather what I have observed and learnt from very successful leaders, are that they hold control and ‘use temper’ to good effect.
Like my boss would say “ You need to know both; how to tighten and loose the temper to convey your feelings. Sometimes it has to be strong enough to create an impact, same time taking care that you are always within Locus of Control”
I agree. Most times in trying to manage and control anger, I tend to consciously manipulate my feelings, in the process doing no good to either
My learning: “ You may lose your temper , but Don’t lose your control. It could be life limiting.
