It's All Beautiful
Pushed up against
So many times in my life
And they keep throwing more and more
At me over and over
Gotta have a thick skin
To live in this mean old world
It's the beautiful friends
Who you find
And they find you
That make it all a mad and glorious whirl
Days, they pass,
Turning into weeks and years
So much laughter, so many tears
It's beautiful
That's what it is
It's all beautiful
Living this life of mine
If you don't keep pushing
They'll run all over you
It's all beautiful
That's what it is
Living this life of mine

3 年Somehow I haven't read this beautiful poem any sooner , just today for the firsts time. And just on TIME --in the period when I am deeply involved in trying to recover/regai/rebuild my most valuable old friendships which I have lost over the years of my hectic existence , always on the move, too much on the move, changing countries and cities. This search for lost friends is not easier than Proust's Search for Lost Time. The two are not identical then they have a lot in common. So thanks for this poem Laura. It inspires me and gives me strength to continue with my search for lost friends. All the best to you,
