ITR filing start date 2023 (AY 2023-24): The Income Tax Return (ITR) e-filing for Assessment Year 2023-24 (FY 2022-23) is expected to start soon. Experts say that taxpayers may be able to start filing their returns from the last week of April or May first week. However, salaried individuals may have to wait till mid-June as this is the time by when employers issue Form 16. As of today, the e-filing portal of the Income Tax Department doesn’t have the option of ITR filing for salaried taxpayers for Ay 2023-24.

Mankind Pharma IPO to open on April 25; all OFS, no fresh issue, 4 crore shares on sale

Mankind Pharma’s IPO will open for public subscription on Tuesday, April 25. The drug makers’ initial public offer will conclude on April 27, and the bidding for anchor investors will open on April 24, according to the red herring prospectus (RHP). The IPO is entirely an offer for sale (OFS) of 40,058,844 equity shares by promoters and other existing shareholders. The company will not receive any proceeds from the issue and the entire amount will go to the shareholders. The shares are likely to get credited on May 8, and list on stock exchanges on May 9, according to reports.

Over the last two years, the fastest train in the country, Vande Bharat Express, has been running at an average speed of around 83 kmph. Interestingly, it is capable of hitting a maximum of 180 kmph. However, because of poor track conditions, it is running under 100 kmph, an RTI reply has revealed. Filed by Madhya Pradesh-based Chandra Shekhar Gaur, the RTI informed that the average speed of the?semi-high-speed train?was 84.48 kmph in 2021-22, while the same was 81.38 kmph in 2022-23.
