ITAM Deadpool

The theme for the 15th Annual IAITAM conference is 'Superhero for Business' --speakers have been asked to dress in costume for the IAITAM-A-CON Kick-Off Event on May 1st. 

First, I'd like to encourage everyone to attend the conference. IT Asset Managers have a tremendous impact that is often underestimated. The IAITAM Annual Conference is an excellent opportunity to learn best practices, catch-up with friends, make new connections, and promote our industry. 

Second, who doesn't like to dress up as a superhero? 

This year I’m going as ITAM Deadpool. His storyline… 

ITAM Deadpool is an enterprise IT Asset Manager who now moonlights as a mercenary. His world comes crashing down when an evil executive tries to defund the enterprise ITAM program. The experience tortures, disfigures, and transforms him into Deadpool. Ironically, the experience leaves Deadpool with accelerated healing powers and a twisted sense of humor. With help from allies, Deadpool uses his new skills to hunt down the man who nearly destroyed his ITAM program and elevate the importance of ITAM across the enterprise. He is referred to as "the ITAM Deadpool" because compatible powers of ITSM, Risk, Security, Compliance, and Procurement have been 'pooled' together into one being. 

You don't get to play a mentally unstable mercenary promoting ITAD every day! Should be fun. 

Maybe I should wear the Deadpool costume for my presentation? Maybe attendees could have a photo opp with Deadpool! If I do, tell me what else you like to see in a Deadpool presentation.
