Italy- Northern Europe: New intermodal service
New intermodal service between Italy and Northern Europe start a line between Novara and Tillbury, IFB increases the frequency of two existing services from Melzo and Segrate. Transmec announced the launch, in January, a new intermodal service between Italy and the United Kingdom, that rests on the direct rail link Novara - Zeebrugge - Tillbury. Innovations in the field of intermodal transport to northern Europe also arriving from Inter Ferry Boats (IFB), which has enhanced two existing connections. In particular, the service of the Dutch terminal Moerduk and Milan Segrate, operative since last September, will become daily, with a fourth rotation already added last week and a fifth will be launched at the end of this month. Meanwhile, the intermodal company, part of the Belgian group B Logistics, has increased the frequency of the line between Duisburg and Hohenbudberg Melzo terminal, raising it from 3 to 5 complete rotations per week.
