Issues with Court Hearings by Telephone

I had an issue with a Court Trial by Telephone today, where my client had Call Guardian, a call blocking service, that blocked the automated call out from the court. Her phone didn't ring at all when the call dialled out. Both systems ask for a name and the requirement to press a button to continue, which clashed. Fortunately I had a conference with the client last evening by telephone so I knew of this call blocking service and managed to figure it out, avoiding an adjournment, as it looked as if the client was not picking up. Managed to conference my client in on my second line and bridged the call over loudspeaker from my desk..! The landscape for advocates is changing!
