Comms Creatives Content of the Week

CCCOTW comes from a family business with a relatively small following on Linkedin??- Betty’s Ice-Cream based in Northern Ireland.

The joy of writing this newsletter is to learn from brands of all shapes and sizes - old, new, small and large.

This behind-the-scenes post is a visual round up of photos sharing what’s gone on in the week.

Linkedin post reads: Betty’s Ice-Cream ? Exploring opportunities to develop the sales of Betty's Ice-Cream range of flavours. Our Traditional dairy ice-cream is made from fresh cow's milk and tastes amazingly rich and creamy. ? 1 week ago Which photo is your favourite from this week’s round up??? Photo 1 - Betty’s Bunch working hard to get Christmas flavours ready for the weekend?????? Photo 2 - Busy week agenda (some things have been moved to this week ??) Photo 3 - Dessert board at a family board night ?? Photo 4 - Launch of our Christmas flavours 2024?? Photo 5 - Adding a little festive cheer to our socials ?? Photo 6 - Customer pic of their A?ai bowl ?? Photo 7 - Making little changes on our website for all our amazing customers??

We love behind-the-scenes?content at Comms Creatives HQ.

It’s really simple to create, and easy for their audience to consume.

Audiences are so used to scrolling past polished ads and announcements from big brands.

In contrast, this real, friendly, and open content invites people into their world, and shows their audience what they do - and how they do it.

And there’s a good mix of photos that shows lots of sides of the business: Betty’s staff behind-the-scenes making ice cream; the products themselves; user generated content from a?customer;?and the office side of things showing website changes they’ve made.

Posting about the simplest things regularly all adds up to a strong?reputation, believable brand story and a lovely sense of community.

Betty’s audience may be small but what they have is an engaged community of supporters.

Drop them a follow yourself and support a small business putting out great content and doing good things.

Comms tip: regular and intimate

Connect with your audience on a regular basis and SHOW them who you are and what you do. Consider creating your own “Photo of the Week” feature for your content.

These are regular invitations that bring people behind-the-scenes and more loyalty from people who want to support your brand, because they see and trust the work you do, and see its impact.?

Great for Linkedin, internal comms and loads of other spaces.

Regular, authentic photos (smartphone snaps are fine!) are an?essential addition to your content plan.

Webinar graphic: Clapbacks and Comebacks - handling awkward and negative comments on your brand's socials

We learned SO much from our fantastically generous and inspiring guests Zander and Niamh this week!

We recorded it and the video will be ready on Tuesday, so don't be upset if you missed it - we'll send it out to everyone who registered to watch on catch up.

Clapbacks and comebacks - handling awkward and negative comments on social. It was great to hear from Niamh and Zander as experts in the field. One important takeaway is: you can't win them all. Seeing negative comments as a social media manager can really impact your mood. Great advice from Zander is to not let it. Be annoyed, sad, angry, whatever, for 5 minutes - then move on. Or, take the negative comments and turn it into something beautiful... ?? ??

And if you haven't yet read it, look at this BRILLIANT guest blog written by?Niamh?here: ?
