The Beacon - Issue 4: The Traditional Salesperson

Welcome to the July issue of The Beacon, our monthly update featuring the latest insights and news from the Firestarter team. This month, we've closely examined the?role of the salesperson; is the traditional model heading for extinction, and what will the role of the salesperson of tomorrow look like?

We've also got an interview with our most recent work experience student, giving you glimpse into not only how things work behind the scenes at Firestarter, but also how we think your business can give work experience students an overwhelmingly positive experience.

Our Firestarter Academy courses have received a positive response since relaunching in June, and we've got more courses coming from September onwards. Plus, our team is growing, and we'd like to introduce our newest recruit.

This month, it was our absolute pleasure to welcome Ellen Kemmett from Chosen Hill School for a week of work experience. At Firestarter, we often take on students for work experience, but it's really important to us that we give them a real taste of what working with us is actually like and get them stuck in to some interesting projects and tasks. Towards the end of her time with us, we sat down with Ellen to find out what she'd learned in a week with Firestarter.
