March is the month to talk bonuses in real estate. Are you getting one? How much and how will it be paid? These are hot topics across the industry so keep reading to find out more.
Who is on a hot streak, and which bosses are sat in the hot seat? I will reveal the headlines below and details on how you can request a bespoke report. I also share our latest podcast, with Freddie Fforde , Founder of Patch the business championing Work Near Home. He shares his vision for building a business in real estate but whose focus is talent and creating spaces for that talent to meet and thrive on every High Street in the UK. Lastly, I share a sample of the live requirements the Development team at Macdonald & Company are leading on… so what are you waiting for?
???? Money talks, but could it make you walk? ???? Bonus / Commission was widely received this year. We saw 66.1% of respondents received a bonus or commission, compared to 69.8% last year. As part of our global salary, rewards and benchmarking service we compared the bonuses paid by employer type and asset class, the figures produced are fascinating and available to order by employers through bespoke reports starting from £750.
However, I can share some snippets with you: the greatest bonus payers by total reward value are the Investor and Fund employers paying on average bonuses of 86.2% (up from 44.4% in 2022-23) of salary across all seniorities and responsibilities combined. The greatest bonus payers by asset class are those employers whose primary focus is in Alternative Residential (PBSA, Co-Living, Later Living) whose staff collectively benefit from 69% of salary paid in bonuses. If you are yet to set your bonus awards or are curious to see how your peer group are handling bonuses and total rewards please get in touch with me on LinkedIn to carry on a discussion.

Our built environment belongs to all of us, and is the biggest industry going but too often hiding in plain sight. I hope the best and brightest can feel they too are welcome to come and bring their ambitions here, and make it better for all of us living in built environments
