?? Welcome to the latest edition of LinkedIn New Horizons, your informative weekly newsletter.

This week, we continue our series of special features, focusing on NorthStandard's Get SET! Safety & Efficiency Technologies, including details on ShipIn and ECDIS Training Assessment (ETA).

We also share the latest industry insights from this past week, a week-in-review gallery from our hugely successful UK Residential Training Course, a link to watch our Sanctions Summer Update 2024 Webinar which took place earlier this week, and an invitation to join us in celebrating with our colleagues in New York as they settle into their new office following a successful relocation.

ShipIn - part of NorthStandard's Get SET! Safety & Efficiency Technologies

In an era marked by unprecedented advances in maritime technology, we firmly believe that embracing and integrating new technology is no longer a choice, but a necessity to secure a safer and more resilient future for the shipping industry. This is why we have chosen to collaborate with ShipIn Systems , the developer of the world’s first visual fleet management platform, FleetVision?.

Our Get SET! suite of pioneering Safety & Efficiency Technologies ensures our ongoing commitment to delivering exceptional service and bringing cutting-edge technologies to the maritime market. Our latest collaboration helps unlock ship-to-shore collaboration for global maritime fleets with AI-powered maritime CCTV and visual analytics.

Designed to support members, their crews, and assets, in recognition of the platform’s benefits for ship safety, operational effectiveness and loss prevention.??

Ready, Get SET! | ECDIS Training Assessment (ETA)

To bring the best out of every seafarer, we have innovatively designed ETA by laying out the foundation with the four pillars -

  1. Appraisal
  2. Planning
  3. Execution
  4. Monitoring

Members can also call on our Loss Prevention team’s expertise to help with training and access a range of complementary support materials to plug any gaps or strengthen any areas of uncertainty. Additionally, crew members can retake the assessment as often as needed to ensure they understand ECDIS completely and keep up-to-date on any new developments.

By supporting seafarers to increase their skills, and enabling greater collaboration between ship and shore, we can help minimise risks both at sea and in port, increase operational and financial resilience, bolster trading confidence and develop tomorrow’s maritime talent.
