Issue 33 | Bloom with Ruth Penfold

Hello beautiful human

Eeep. It's issue number 33! Who else has a favourite number...? ??

Well I do and it's number 3.

De La Soul fans will know it's the magic number. But I'll also blame being born March 27th as setting me on this path haha.

I love it so much that right now the Bloom Together community is just $33 a month (completely free for the first month), and my 1:1 packages start at $3333 too.

Yep. I went all in on the 3's. Why? Here's my glamorous assistant, AI to tell us why:

In numerology, the number 33 is considered a master number, and it has many meanings, including:?

  • Helping others: 33 is said to radiate caring energy and emphasise the importance of helping others and fostering unity.
  • Creativity and expression: 33 is said to promote creativity and expression, and encourage people to let their artistic side shine.
  • Wisdom: 33 is said to suggest that people have wisdom to impart and are meant to guide and teach others.
  • Healing and saving the world: 33 is said to be the destiny number of the "World Healer," who possesses visionary, truthful, loving, inspiring, and compassionate qualities.?

Thank you AI.

So what do all those qualities add up to y'all?

Feminine energy, and truly the qualities that we often try to hide as People and Talent leaders as we try to 'fit in' with the leaders around us.

Feminine energy is what our working world deeply needs. And no, not just within women, but within all of us.

Throughout history, cultures across the globe have explored the concept of masculine and feminine energies. These energies are seen not as opposing forces but as complementary components of a dynamic whole.

Read that again. Complementary components of a dynamic whole.

Traditionally, these energies were assigned specific roles in society. Masculine energy was linked to leadership, strength, and rationality, while feminine energy was connected to nurturing, intuition, and emotion.

Today we recognise that these energies are not confined by gender. Every individual possesses a unique blend of both masculine and feminine qualities.

If we are getting it right, we learn to embrace this duality within ourselves, regardless of our gender identity, allowing for a more holistic and authentic expression of self, finding whatever balance feels most authentic to us.

Binary thinking meant that our world was made a on a foundation that is a little wonky.

Which makes us all feel a little wonky too.

Which causes what I call, the Authenticity Gap.

The Authenticity Gap = the space between who you truly are and who you think you need to be to succeed in the world of work.

You can learn more about the gap and how to bridge it here.

(plot reveal: Bloom is the six step method that bridges the gap and let's you be all of who you are at work)

Rooting for you always
