I haven't been up to anything exciting. I'm happy to say that I've batched my social media content for Your Writing Bestie for the rest of 2024. I'm also working on some projects that you'll hear about soon.

Today, I'll be chatting about email marketing.

While I started out blogging, I found that many of my clients also needed email marketing support, so I took courses and read and got pretty good at it over time. Now it's like my favorite thing to do.

Writing Tip ??

Repurposing your blog posts via email is a great way to get fresh eyes on your blog post, boost SEO (more on that later), and give your content a new life. If you're thinking of repurposing your blog posts into emails, instead of copying and pasting the whole blog post into your email, try:

• Picking one point in the blog post to include in your email and then link your blog post so your subscribers can read more.
• Summarizing your blog post and send that to your list
• Telling your subscribers that you have a new blog post, what the blog post is about and then link to it if they want more info.

Hot take, but you don't always have to link to your blog post when repurposing it in your email. Yes, it's better for SEO, but you can take the main idea of your blog post and create fresh content.

Also, you don't have to repurpose your blog post only once. You can repurpose it as often as possible; just space out your repurposing and get creative.

Email marketing can boost your SEO efforts, and here is why.

One word: Traffic.

By including links to your blog posts in your emails, you can increase traffic to your site, increase the chances of social shares and backlinks, and, therefore, get an SEO boost.

But here's the thing: you must ensure your blogging content is relevant to your email list.

For example, if your blog is about quick and easy recipes for people on the go, your email list should be people interested in that, too.

Disclaimer: including your blog posts in your email does not guarantee that they will appear on the first page of the search results page; in fact, they probably won't, but it can help you attract more attention to your blog posts.

Oh, and don't forget to let your subscribers know to share your blog posts!
