Issue #3 - Company Partner: Fit Body Boot Camp RSM
This past month in May, the nonprofit Free Wheelchair Mission held its annual Move for Mobility event. Unlike a traditional run or walk, Move for Mobility enables participants of all abilities, from anywhere, to run, walk, hike, roll, swim, jump, bike, or move however they choose. This is a fully accessible fundraising event to provide wheelchairs to people with disabilities in developing countries around the world.
Free Wheelchair Mission had a variety of individuals, families, churches, and companies participate this year in Move for Mobility. One company partner to highlight is Trainer Ali’s Fit Body Boot Camp.
Alisson Rosales (better known as Trainer Ali) is the owner of the local Fit Body Boot Camp in Rancho Santa Margarita, California. Trainer Ali’s Fit Body Boot Camp is a fitness center with workout sessions led by certified personal trainers. Their focus is on meeting fitness goals in a results-driven, energetic, fun, and supportive environment.
Trainer Ali first heard about Free Wheelchair Mission through a friend whose mother lost mobility in a tragic car accident. This inspired Ali to support an organization that provided wheelchairs to those in need. She was quickly on board with the nonprofit’s mission and shared, “We are all about mobility and spreading mobility excites me!â€
For the second year in a row, Trainer Ali worked to set up a Spartan Race-inspired obstacle course that included a variety of events ranging from running to wall jumping to spear throwing. Fit Body Boot Camp RSM set up a Move for Mobility team fundraising page, which participants were encouraged to join and fundraise a minimum of one wheelchair ($96) to qualify for the race. Over 50 people participated, and they were able to fundraise for 355 wheelchairs total in 2022 and 2023.

From the beginning, Ali has tried to make the gym feel like a tight-knit community. She shared, “[Free Wheelchair Mission’s Move for Mobility] is a perfect cause. I needed something our ‘boot camp family’ could get together with and do some good in this world.†Move for Mobility helped to bring her company’s community together. “We can talk about this great thing we did. We are all moving. We are all taking care of ourselves, and we are helping to take care of others.â€
Through partnerships with Trainer Ali’s Fit Body Bootcamp and many other generous companies and individuals, Free Wheelchair Mission has provided more than 1.3 million wheelchairs in 94 developing countries around the world.
