People aren’t just watching YouTube on their computers or phones. TV has surpassed mobile and is now the primary device for YouTube viewing in the U.S. (by watch time), and according to Nielsen, YouTube has been #1 in streaming watch time in the U.S. for two years. While it's still early, AI is making a big difference in how people create and consume content on YouTube.

It is a bit jarring at first sight. There are too many boxes with fonts that are too big and bold. For it's minimalistic intentions, the scorebug is very in-your-face and distracts from the game on the screen.

Big Tech Players Emerge as Likely Partner for TikTok US

With TikTok technically still banned in the U.S., under the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act,?President Trump is now seeking to find an alternative solution to avoid a full ban of the platform, while also deriving benefit for the U.S. and American partner companies.

Oracle, Microsoft and Amazon are among those looking at partnering with the app.

However, TikTok’s parent company ByteDance is still seeking an alternative plan, in which it would remain in control of the app.?(via Marketing Dive)

Instagram tests ‘dislike’ button for comments

The company confirmed that it is testing a way for users to signal that they either didn’t like the comment or don’t think it’s relevant.

Instagram head Adam Mosseri said in a?post on Threads?that the company won’t show a dislike count, and no one will know you disliked a comment. He added that, eventually, dislikes will count toward ranking comments. (via TechCrunch)

LinkedIn Rolls Out Updates to Video

Videos will now appear in longer, wider frames in the main feed, which when tapped, will take you through to the full-screen video player. Tapping on a creator’s profile from the feed, meanwhile, will give you a mini-profile overview.

Along the same line, LinkedIn is also testing a more prominent follow option within the full-screen video player. (via Social Media Today)
