Looking to the left while wearing a backwards cap and matching-coloured glasses has been scientifically proven

I wish I could add your name at the start - mostly because I know so many of you, and I can picture you as I write this... ??

Because you took the time to subscribe to this "sing-along newsletter", you, in my mind at least (and that's the place where it really matters), are "hardcore". ??

Before I came up with #ParodyPower and this "newsletter", I put out around 20 songs. Occasionally, the week before I released a new song, I'd do a bit of a teaser.

I want to get back into that, but decided I wanted to go unplugged this time.

So, here's the chorus of next Monday's song, played with my cap on backwards because it makes me look like I'm a serious artist (or a silly-looking Man-Child. Not sure which, so I'll leave it up to you).

If you ever listened to Natalie Imbruglia's "Torn"...

I'm sorry! Or ... you're welcome. ??

With just this chorus, can you guess what it's about? ??

LISTEN TO THE SONG

See you on Monday for ISSUE NO. 2, with the full instrumental-and-more-lyrics version... ??

I added this comment to your post and thought I should add it here too... I have to say, this is my favourite parody, Ryan Anderson! For me, you sound best with the guitar, natural, simple recording, just being you. As for the parody snippet, it truly resonates with me. As a creative writer, I often work late, well into the early hours, only to be surprised by the sunrise. Then I know I won't sleep. "Trying to make it less, not more" Yes, yes, yes, just when I think I'm editing down my copy, I find that I've added another section! ?? More of this please! ??
