Issue 136: Security in Focus

Hello,

This week's newsletter brings developments in agritech, cybersecurity, junk fees, and infrastructure. The past week was also special to us as we launched the DFS Ethiopia Hub. The platform is designed to provide comprehensive data, insights, and resources into the finance sector in Ethiopia.

The hub is part of the three-year AKOFADA (Advancing Knowledge on Financial Accessibility and DFS Adoption) project, which aims to empower financial institutions, decision-makers, enablers, and end users while supporting Ethiopia’s digital finance ecosystem.

DFS Ethiopia Hub’s key features include:

Comprehensive Data Access: Offering users extensive DFS and related data to help them make strategic decisions.

High-Quality Insights: Offers access to original articles, case studies, and reports produced in-house, equipping industry stakeholders with unique local insights and understanding of DFS in Ethiopia.

Resource Hub: A one-stop shop that aggregates a curated list of news articles, reports, assessments, and discussions on DFS in Ethiopia for easy access. Visit DFS Ethiopia Hub

Great summary, as always. I have concerns on the design of apps presented here. All reflecting high level conceptual and buzzwords rather than giving focus to the socio-technical requirements which probably will lead to failed projects.
