Issue 102: 65 new jobs (including 7 remote and 7 international opportunities)

Part 1: Get Inspired?

To be completely transparent, I’ve been struggling the past couple of weeks to feel inspired. Life and work feels like a lot lately.

I promised to walk through Life Trends 2025 in a past post, so I returned to that piece to?see what trend might lift my spirits most.?

What I landed on was the “Impatience Economy.” In this research the authors explain:?

People are going their own way, weighing up the risks and rewards and betting on themselves bolstered by information and experience from the crowd online. At the heart of this trend is the fact that people are finding quick solutions via relatable content online to satisfy their growing impatience to achieve their life goals.?

?

Real life observations on LinkedIn:

We can look at the #commsjobs and #payitforward movement on LinkedIn as an example of this trend... professionals in the industry donating hours of their time and energy to crowd source and curate openings in the spirit of helping job seekers cut through the noise and get a lead on new roles more quickly and efficiently.?

But I’ve seen other examples of this on LinkedIn, like this recent series of posts from Logan Coulter who took his challenge of getting his daughter’s denied claim for IVIG to social channels, gaining advice from the crowd and attracting the attention of celebrities like Mark Cuban, Jeremy Remmer and eventually getting the treatment approved by his insurance provider. We all love a happy ending, and it certainly brought joy to my LinkedIn feed to see the power of the crowd to do good and lend a helping hand.?

What do you think? Have you seen examples of this on LinkedIn and other social channels?

Part 3: Tap into the power of your network?

Today I had the rare pleasure of reconnecting with a former co-worker over coffee. It was difficult for both of us to carve out time – but I had forgotten how nice to was to pause and reconnect face to face at your local coffee shop.

So, if you haven’t done it recently and are out of practice (like me)... I highly recommend that you make it one of your goals over the next month. Think of someone in your local area that you’d love to reconnect with and reach out... then report back and let me know if it lifted your spirits.?

For those who continue to build their network virtually (that’s an important part of your strategy too), here a compressed list of some of my favorite people to follow:?

I feel so many people can relate to what a slog these past few weeks have been. So many are with you in solidarity, and support. And still, despite that feeling, you continue to show up for so many here. Thank you ????. For jobseekers (self included) the community built here is critical, and you’re a central part of it. ??
