As we start this year, I want to encourage you all to keep your mindset positive and action-oriented—especially when searching for TV and film roles.

2024 was a tough year for the industry, with 65% of freelancers out of work. That was 2024; this is 2025. It’s time for a fresh start. Let’s work together to break down barriers, stop gatekeeping opportunities, and champion diverse programming and collaboration to help the industry not just survive but thrive.

?? Presenter Masterclass Recap On January 11th, I hosted an incredible Presenter Masterclass, where I had the privilege of training a group of talented ladies on essential skills for TV presenting.

We covered:

• Interview Techniques
• Writing, Memorizing, and Performing Scripts to Camera
• Mastering the Autocue

The participants left with valuable showreel material to help them kickstart their presenting careers. The energy and enthusiasm were unmatched!

Thriving in 2025 – Mindset and Action

Your success in the TV and film industry starts with a positive, proactive mindset. Here’s how to set the stage for success this year:

1. Set Clear Goals: Define what success looks like for you. Whether it’s landing a role, completing a training program, or connecting with industry leaders, write it down and break it into actionable steps.
2. Stay Informed: Keep up with industry trends, watch diverse programming, and understand what employers are looking for in 2025.
3. Network Intentionally: Attend events, join online communities, and connect with people who can offer support, guidance, or collaboration opportunities.
