"One of the most highly anticipated hotel openings in years" (Forbes ) Aman New York will finally open its doors this month. Rosewood Vienna becomes the new "powerhouse place to stay in the Austrian capital” (Tatler ), The Twenty Two “brings Shoreditch style to Grosvenor Square” (The Times ) and Cosme Paros “inserts itself firmly at the high-gloss end of the Paros spectrum” (Financial Times ). Wydler Windham, meanwhile, provides “the summer camp experience of your adult dreams” (InsideHook ).
Aman New York | Opening August 2022
USA: “NYC’s most anticipated luxury hotel” (Travel + Leisure ) is finally set to open this month. Aman New York will open on 57th Street in the Crown Building, providing “a new life for the landmark” (Vogue ) that celebrated its 100th birthday in 2021. The hotel “will transform the city's hotel landscape” (Conde Nast Traveler ) and boast “some of the most remarkable hotel pools anywhere” (Travel + Leisure ). The decadent suites feature “working fireplaces, marble showers and free-standing soaking tubs” (The Points Guy ) and the jazz club is “sure to be a destination for New Yorkers and visitors alike” (Vogue ). The restaurants include a high-end Japanese eatery “serving freshly prepared sushi and sashimi at its live-cooking counter” (Architectural Digest ) and an Italian “that claims views of Central Park” (Architectural Digest ).

The Twenty Two London | Opened April 2022
UK: An “achingly chic manor and member’s club” (Vanity Fair ) The Twenty Two “brings Shoreditch style to Grosvenor Square” (The Times ). The 31-room hotel and members’ club opened with the aim of bringing “new life to one of London’s less-hurried quarters” (Conde Nast Traveller ), doing so with “super Instagrammable” (Travel + Leisure ) interiors that are “a lesson in maximalism” (Country & Town House ) and a relaxed vibe that intends to feel accessible for a younger generation. The “impeccably stylish” (House and Garden ) in-house restaurant offers a “stellar menu and a sumptuous candlelit setting” (Vanity Fair ) while other highlights include a “library-styled living room” (Financial Times ) and a basement members’ club that “roars with life” (Vanity Fair ) - both are open to hotel guests.

Rosewood Vienna | Opened 1st August 2022
AUSTRIA: Set to be “the powerhouse place to stay in the Austrian capital” (Tatler ) Rosewood Vienna has transformed “an 18th-century building with a former life as a bank” (Architectural Digest ) into Vienna’s “first luxury hotel opening in ten years” (Robb Report ). Located “bang in the heart of the city in the Petersplatz, one of the most romantic squares in Vienna’s Old Town”, (Tatler ) the hotel has “99 guestrooms, a spa, a rooftop bar and a garden restaurant” (Vogue ) as well as several dining options that “pay tribute to the culinary roots of the Austrian capital” (Sleeper Magazine ).
Our favourite feature: The prime city centre location.
Cosme Paros | Opened June 2022
GREECE: With “a chic revamp of a dated property” (The Telegraph ) Cosme Paros - part of Marriott’s Luxury Collection - “inserts itself firmly at the high-gloss end of the Paros spectrum” (Financial Times ). The “understated 40-suite resort” (Wall Street Journal ) has “a crisp Cycladic aesthetic” (The Telegraph ) and its “whitewashed buildings and embrace of indoor-outdoor living mirror the simplicity of the surrounding landscape” (Wall Street Journal ). As a further “ode to the destination” (Sleeper Magazine ) the half-moon pool reflects “the shape of the bay in which Cosme stands” (Sleeper Magazine ) while a private beach club is exclusive to hotel guests. Additional amenities include a spa and a fine dining restaurant.
Our favourite feature: The indoor-outdoor living that complements the beautiful natural surroundings.
Wylder Hotel Windham | Opened July 2022
USA: The historic Thompson House Resort, which opened in 1880, has been given “a serious modern-day upgrade” (Travel + Leisure ), reopening as the Wylder Hotel Windham. Offering “the summer camp experience of your adult dreams” (InsideHook ) the “trendy new boutique hotel” (Travel + Leisure ) has just opened in Catskills. Seven different lodgings sit on “a sprawling 20 acres of land along the Batavia Kill River” (InsideHook ). They include “a Victorian farmhouse, as well as several lodges cottages, and more traditional inn and motel structures” (Architectural Digest ). “Soulful and homey rooms” (Cool Hunting ) bring together vintage rugs and clawfoot tubs while “the resort's long-time favorite Babblers restaurant” (Travel + Leisure ) serves comfort food including a strawberry rhubarb pie that’s “incentive enough to visit” (Travel + Leisure ). “Pickleball courts, saunas, and river access can all be enjoyed in this picturesque setting” (Architectural Digest ).
