Thiruvananthapuram: ISRO is stepping up its efforts to place Indian astronauts on the Moon for the first time by 2040
following the historic success of its Chandrayaan-3 lunar mission.
Currently, they are undergoing mission-specific training at Astronaut Training Facility (ATF) in Bengaluru, said ISRO chief S Somanath, who is also Secretary, Department of Space, and Chairman of, Space Commission.
