The BDS movement, Overview

Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) is a Palestinian-led movement for freedom, justice and equality. BDS upholds the simple principle that Palestinians are entitled to the same rights as the rest of humanity.

Israel is occupying and colonising Palestinian land, discriminating against Palestinian citizens of Israel and denying Palestinian refugees the right to return to their homes. Israel's war on BDS is a complex one.?

At first, there were only 120 Palestinian organizations supporting the movement, Nowadays there are some 190 Palestinian organizations.?

The BDS movement has grown and spread: Universities across the globe are supporting the BDS as well as political leaders, parties, working unions, city councils, some 2+ million followers on social media, extra.

Israel has noticed the BDS movement, as it was established in 2005.

Shortly after, Israel started to monitor BDS activities: groups and individuals.

But, in the last years Israeli agencies have increased their actions and so called "war against the BDS" the movement and its activists, worldwide.

In the Past 3 years countries such as, Germany, Austria and many states in the USA have ruled that the BDS movement is illegal or its "Antisemitic", therefore those countries will not allow any public event, lecture, meeting that promotes the BDS movement.?

We have witnessed many attempts to silence other voices that promote the Palestinian cause (not BDS related).
