Course Highlights?

Day 1: Foundations of ISO and Auditing?

Day one you will learn about what ISO is, as well as ISO 9001:2015 & ISO 19011:2018. Additionally, you will learn about what relevant management systems are and what they do. Fundamental knowledge will be presented about the audit process and will be supported alongside an audit case study to further your knowledge of auditing. Finally, you will gain expert knowledge for performing objective nonconformance writing, which is crucial within the auditing process.?

Day 2: Conducting Effective Audits?

Day two will focus on preparing for and participating in an internal audit. The day’s lessons will cover key topics such as how to audit with the auditee, ensuring respectful and efficient communication during audits. You will learn the proper demeanor, approach, and communication style needed to maintain professionalism throughout the process, including techniques for effective questioning and observation, as well as maintaining a neutral and unbiased stance. Also, you will understand how to collaborate effectively with the auditee, fostering an environment of open dialogue and cooperation to ensure smooth, productive audits.?

You will also receive internal audit schedules for days three to five, which detail the order, timing, and tasks involved in the upcoming audits. This will help you prepare in advance and understand the flow of activities. Finally, an introduction to the Quality Management System (QMS) will be provided, familiarizing you with its functionalities and how it will support your audit process. By the end of day two, you will have the necessary skills and insights to confidently engage in the auditing process during the following days.?

Days 3-4: Hands-On Auditing?

Days three and four will be hands on learning through performing an internal audit, per the internal auditing schedule. Your team will conduct a series of internal audits on an ISO registered company, and will identify findings such as: nonconformance, opportunities for improvement, innovations, suggestions, etc.?

Day 5: Finalizing and Presenting Results?

Day five will continue with more hands-on auditing. Additionally, you and the other teams will have their findings reviewed as a group, going over what these findings mean and what implications they have in the internal auditing process. You will create and present an internal audit summary report to help guide you when you are back in the workplace.?
