Information security and privacy management at inDrive: we′re certified!

Some good news for inDrive here!?

As primarily a ride-hailing company, we are well-known for collecting and processing a bunch of sensitive data regarding people’s transportation. As long as we focus on building trust, we see that it's high time to reveal some aspects of how we treat the information internally and whether we can be relied on.?

In 2022, we decided to supplement our existing ISO/IEC 27001 certification for information security management with an additional one - the ISO/IEC 27701 certification for privacy management.?

Users’ privacy is one of our core values, we put a lot of effort into being on the cutting edge of personal data security. Multiple teams throughout inDrive did a great job and managed to go through the independent assessment successfully, so in 2023, we received a positive auditor’s decision to extend the validity of the ISO/IEC 27001 certificate and issue the ISO/IEC 27701 standard certification for the first time for us!

According to the ISO, conformity with ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO/IEC 27701 means that an organization has put in place a system to manage risks related to the security and privacy of data owned or handled by the company and that this system respects all the best practices and principles enshrined in these International Standards.

We believe there are only a few ride-hailing companies that have managed to achieve this level of respect for users’ privacy. And we are very proud of that!

Among other, the auditor appreciated the way we ensure privacy and cybersecurity within the company and noted our adherence to best practices via:

• Our company-wide commitment to the protection of users’ data;
• Mature efforts and valuable contributions of multiple teams to raise privacy by design and by default culture in the company;
• An efficient approach to raising awareness on security and privacy topics among employees, especially among developer teams.

That’s good news for our company - and one more step towards building trust by ensuring the security of all the people who use our platform, be they drivers, passengers, couriers, or other service providers.?
