It isn't about the scarf, it is the mindset behind the scarf

Malala Yousafzai, a Pakistani woman, fights for women's rights and the right to an education while wearing a scarf. She was shot in the head for going to school, and she is now using that experience to advocate for women's rights, particularly in education.?

If you aren't familiar with the culture, Malala's hijab means "I respect my culture but I am not fundamental." It is beyond the scope of this article to elevate the entire culture.?

Another girl from the same cultural background, Fatima Peyman, "our new WA senator," is attempting to normalise the hijab in Australia, an item of clothing that is a?major cause of the death and torture of women in the Middle East, so many of whom are imprisoned for refusing to accept forced hijab, despite the devastation in her native Afghanistan and the problems faced by women under the guise of hijab "protection."?

Under the excuse of protection, the girls are barred from attending school or go to buy food, and must seek permission from their father before marrying; as women, they are not permitted to drive, among other major human rights violations.?

Given that Fatima is promoting the hijab, she may want to promote another aspect of her religion. Disclaimer:)The following statement is from the Quran .You can easily research it.

The Qur'an makes it clear that women are to be submissive to men. "Men stand superior to women in that God has prefered some of them over others, and in that they spend of their wealth; and virtuous women are devoted, careful (in their husbands') absence, as God has cared for them. But those whose perversity you fear, admonish them, confine them in bedchambers, and beat them; but if they submit to you, do not seek a way against them, for God is high and great."?

So what about all the feminist slogans and women's days we are having here in Australia??

I didn't mind her scarf because some of my friends wear them. Fatima could graciously keep her religion and personal beliefs to herself, as I am sure there are other politicians who are far from saints and may have even more bizarre beliefs.?

The danger arises when a public figure brings her personal religious beliefs to the political table and attempts to sell them to the public, which may have an impact on our lives.?No politicians Muslim, Christian, or Buddhist should use a government platform to promote their religion. We don't have a theocratic government, as far as I know.

As a Middle Eastern woman born in a Muslim country, I understand the importance of diversity and inclusion.?However, you should be aware that the hijab is not a fundamental principle of Fatima's religion, which means that Fatima must have accepted more fundamental principles in order to embrace the hijab, which is the intriguing part.?

For example, the next time you go to a party that serves wine, you should be aware that, according to Fatima's mindset and religious beliefs, you should be punished (lashed) for the "crime" of drinking alcohol or not wearing scarves.

It's not as if you're free to live your life and she's free to live hers. According to her religious beliefs, you should be punished, and the punishment may be severe at times. She is attempting to normalise her religious belief (Hijab) once more; this is her statement, not mine....

Fatima's election was the result of a mass campaign behind her back by politicians who simply want more seats and people who want to be seen as "open-minded" and blindfoldedly follow the crow to say yes, we are "open-minded" and not racist.?

This reminded me of a childhood story about a king who ordered a dress, but the tailor said if you don't see the dress, you are not intelligent, and the king ended up marching naked and no one dared to comment because they didn't want to be labelled, and that is the story of our generation who avoids being labelled racist.?

So, what exactly is inclusion and diversity and where is the borderline ? Are you going to include someone in the senate who has a Communist mindset or calls themselves "anti-Jews" because we don't want them to be excluded??

It's not about the hijab ; it's about the mindset behind the scarf.?
