61st Annual Convention Concludes
20,000+ Attendees
ISNA’s 61st Annual Convention - A Historic Gathering in Dallas!
The 61st Annual ISNA Convention held at the iconic Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas, was nothing short of spectacular! With over 21,000 attendees flocking to the event, the atmosphere buzzed with excitement, inspiration, and a sense of community that truly embodied the essence of the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA).
The convention kicked off with a dynamic lineup of inspiring sessions featuring renowned speakers and guests from around the globe. Attendees engaged in thought-provoking discussions on contemporary issues facing the Muslim community, alongside messages of hope, empowerment, and action. From enlightening lectures to roundtable discussions, participants left energized and motivated to make a positive impact in their communities.
One of the highlights was the vibrant bazaar, which showcased a diverse range of vendors offering unique products, handmade crafts, and delicious food. It was the perfect spot for attendees to shop, connect, and support small businesses while enjoying the rich cultural tapestry that makes up the Muslim community.
The excitement didn’t stop there—a basketball tournament featuring talented teams from various states sparked fierce competition and camaraderie. The chaplaincy training sessions provided invaluable insights into the vital role of chaplains in various settings, particularly in the military, hospitals, and correctional facilities. The interfaith banquet was another profound moment at the convention, bringing together people of all faiths to foster dialogue, understanding, and cooperation. The Community Service Recognition Luncheon was overfilled will with attendees gathered to recognize awardee Dr. Yusuf Ziya Kavakci and listen to Professor Cornel West deliver an inspiring keynote address. The Mushiara, a vibrant poetry reading session, captivated hearts and minds, featuring talented poets who expressed their thoughts on love, faith, and resilience. The power of words bridged gaps and resonated deeply, emphasizing the importance of cultural expression within the community. Entertainment throughout the convention added a lively flair from comedy to nasheed. There were many other events including a health fair, robotics show, science fair, and more.
From start to finish, ISNA's 61st Annual Convention was an unforgettable gathering that not only celebrated the richness of the Muslim experience in North America but also fostered unity, inspiration, and action. Attendees left Dallas with new insights, strengthened relationships, and a renewed commitment to building a vibrant community, making this convention a true milestone in ISNA's history. Until next year!
