Brief summary of the Black Sea Grain Flow week 45?issue:

  • The volume of grain shipped from Azov-Black Sea ports has increased from 1.85 to 2.56 mln t, with Russian exports being the most active this week;
  • The volume of grain enroute (at sea) has also risen from 8.87 to 9.09 mln t, which is the highest figure since the start of a new grain season;
  • Egypt remains the most popular destination for grain at sea, followed by Turkiye and Bangladesh;
  • Despite the increase in the total number of vessels laden with Black Sea grains from 318 to 323 units, the number of laden coasters and Panamax/Kamsarmax carriers has inched down by 8 and 7 ships, respectively;
  • The volume of discharged grain has grown from 1.93 to 2.28 mln t (+18%), with the number of discharged vessels up from 93 to 107;
  • Egypt has shown the most significant increase in the volume of discharged (imported) grain this week;
  • Morocco has seen no discharged vessels with Black Sea grain.
