Sarasota County Schools announce introduction of Omnilert Gun Detect System
Omnilert has announced the roll out of its Gun Detect System in Sarasota County Schools.
It is set to monitor over 4,800 security cameras throughout the whole school district.
This is the largest deployment of gun detection security cameras in Florida and the second largest in the US following on from Baltimore County public schools.
The aim is to minimise and eradicate the presence of weapons on school campuses. Omnilert Gun Detect is protecting several hundred schools and other organisations within the US.

IDIS has found there is a higher demand for advanced video for suppliers due to the new generation of European resort casinos.
Although casinos have been one of the top users of video surveillance technology, the demand for more advanced solutions and video surveillance has risen in recent years, the South Korean video tech manufacturer has found.
