As a part of its Cloud strategy, Dell EMC just announced that the Isilon its scale-out NAS platform would now be available “as a service” on the Google Cloud Platform.

The Isilon Cloud for GCP combines the best of both worlds, all the benefits of the Isilon platform (massively scalable NAS, high performance, management simplicity), as well as the robust analytics and compute services of GCP.

This allows to embrace new deployment scenarios, for instance the disaster recovery of file services in the Cloud, relocation of performance intensive file-based workloads in the Cloud, etc.

Isilon Cloud for GCP is available via an early access program, and customers interested in joining the program should contact Dell EMC for more information.
