ISF's Michael Keller to join CGIAR's Seed Equal Webinar Series

ISF Secretary General Michael Keller will join CGIAR Genetic Innovation's next webinar under their Seed Equal Initiative to explore approaches, principles, and coordination mechanisms for enhancing seed system delivery.

Michael will share insights on fostering collaborations and enhancing seed resilience in support of seed system development, as part of ISF's recently signed partnership with CGIAR to improve farmers' access to quality seed and innovation.

Last November 2023, the two global organizations signed a 5-year cooperation that seeks to address low agricultural productivity resulting from poor adoption of improved varieties and limited access to quality seed in many countries. The partnership is an outcome of both organizations’ commitments at the UN Food Systems Summit 2021 to contribute further to food systems transformation. (See the announcement here.)

According to the CGIAR website, the webinar series will help participants:

• Engage seed systems stakeholders in the value chain and provide key updates on seed system innovations developed through the Initiative.?
• Share latest research findings on seed system development in line with the invited participants topic of interest?
• Develop new collaboration opportunities and maintain strong connections with seed systems stakeholders.?
