LED Screens Can Work Towards Your Sustainability Goals

One of the biggest shifts this year was in energy efficiency. As operational costs continue to be a key concern for businesses, LED manufacturers showcased advances in power-saving displays without compromising brightness, colour accuracy, or refresh rates. digiLED (UK) Ltd indeed ‘led’ the charge with their patented ZEUS technology, a high-brightness COB LED platform designed for lower energy consumption in large-format applications, managed and reporting through a simple dashboard. Who’d have thought installing a new LED screen could aid your sustainability goals? This product will have massive appeal to large DOOH fleets and sports and events venues that can fully utilise the saving possibilities during downtimes. More on that later.

Shifting From COB To MIP

Unilumin UK 's latest Upanel II MIP series signalled a clear move away from traditional Chip-on-Board (COB) LED in favour of Micro LED in Package (MIP). The result is a display that offers better brightness, improved colour uniformity, and reduced power draw. Technology that earned them an Inavate InAVation Award at the show, and make it a strong option for corporate environments and DOOH signage. The Upanel II MIP 0.7 also enhances visual performance with its built-in anti-moiré technology, making it an excellent choice for broadcast studios where camera-facing displays need to deliver sharp, flicker-free visuals. Its AI-powered image engine ensures accurate colour reproduction and seamless scaling, providing reliable performance in high-pressure production environments.

The Unatural Series introduces a unique approach by combining printed panels with the finish of physical material textures like wood, granite, or marble. When powered off, the display blends into its surroundings, making it an ideal design feature for high-end environments such as a granite reception desk, luxury hotel lobby, or executive boardroom table. When turned on, it delivers clear, vibrant content without compromising on design aesthetics.

Unilumin’s Unatural Series offered a unique blend of printed textures like wood or marble when off, with crystal-clear content when on, ideal for high-end interiors.

Modern Meeting Rooms That Make Sense

Meeting room and collaboration technology also saw major upgrades. Hisense Europe continued to expand its all-in-one LED display range, integrating video conferencing tools directly into high-resolution screens. By reducing reliance on multiple third-party components, these displays simplify installation and streamline the user experience. Barcelona-based Arthur Holm were right at home presenting their premium meeting room AV, introducing motorised displays and retractable microphones that disappear into the desk when not in use. This guarantees boardrooms remain clean and uncluttered without sacrificing functionality.

Savings Through Self-Contained Signage

Digital signage took a step forward in both interactivity and deployment flexibility. Allsee Technologies Ltd presented impressive Android-operated digital posters and battery-powered outdoor displays that demonstrated how self-contained signage solutions are evolving.
