ISE - Emerging Trends from the show floor
Time to reflect on the first February Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) and our IS-Ski themed stand. Attendees were given a glimpse of not only the innovation our industry is striving for but also the real life applications end-users can immerse themselves in. The Fira saw a total of 58,107 visitors over the week, a 33% increase from last May.
The Hybrid Meeting Challenge
Halls 2 and 3 were centred around collaboration, hybrid working and strategies to enforce more equitable meeting spaces. The show provided ample opportunities for visitors to see the latest technologies and product showcases from leading manufacturers. Driven by 微软 ’s front row layout for teams rooms, large format displays and specifically the 21:9 ratio were very well represented across the different stands. ISE was the place to announce new products to many vendors’ portfolios. This includes our own presentation of the Avocor 105” ultrawide display, demonstrating how companies can deliver a more holistic meeting experience for their employees.?
Bring-your-own-meeting
Wireless screen sharing and bring-your-own meeting environments are still a hot topic in relation to creating an adopted video meeting culture With 63% of organisations using two or more conferencing platforms throughout the day, the technology to enable multiple video platforms needs to be easy and as frictionless as possible. Barco ’s new product launch, the ClickShare CX-50 Gen 2 brings flexible, premium wireless conferencing automatically connecting to room devices. Airtame demonstrated how easy it is to use their products, transforming any device into a wireless presentation platform for any screen. With their hub solution they also have a solid solution for the meeting room, enabling the seamless use of multiple video collaboration platforms.?
One, two, three … or more???
With 15% of rooms now equipped with video conferencing solutions it is time to be looking at enhancing the experience. Another popular topic at ISE was to demonstrate how multiple cameras enable a more equitable experience for remote participants. With solutions and demo set ups presented at the show, including one that integrated the use of 7 cameras; it's clear that this will be a focus for 2023. On our stand we showed a multiple camera setup from Huddly , which will lead into a next iteration called Huddly Crew, a ‘film directing approach to managing your virtual meetings’. AI seems to be the trick in creating that optimal experience and one of the most interesting eye catchers at our stand was the new 罗技 Sight! This AI powered, centre of room camera is easily scalable for multi-participant framing. As you can imagine, it was one of the most talked about features of our stand last week.?

Google Meet??
A stand that saw great traction across the show was 谷歌 . With growing interest for their Google Workspace solution, the extension from the personal workspace into the meeting room is logical. The interoperability across devices and platforms makes this solution one to watch. 思科 ’s interoperability with Google Meet was announced some time ago but recently Zoom interoperability was added to the Google Meet OS. This was a major talking point for the show floor. Next to that, the addition of Android based room solutions, like Logitech Rally bar and Rally Bar mini caught the interest of the many visitors, as well as the improved availability of solutions like Desk 27 and Board 65 from Avocor.??
From huddle to medium to huddle
The show also saw the release of Sennheiser ’s new ceiling microphone for mid-sized meeting rooms and lecture or collaboration spaces. The TCCM delivers all the features of the flagship TeamConnect Ceiling 2 to a new segment of the meeting space market. The growing need for solutions to maximise audio and microphone capacity in mid-sized meeting rooms, shows itself in use cases like Microsoft Front Row, where concepts like spatial audio are becoming more and more IT friendly jargon. A focus trend for 2023?
Something Neat.???
ISE also saw the introduction of Neat Pulse, a comprehensive offering of support and management services that provide businesses easy, efficient and reliable control over all their Neat devices. A great addition to their portfolio and right into our alley when it comes to data driven AV Spaces to drive business outcomes. Neat Pulse complements Microsoft Teams Admin Center (TAC) and Zoom Device Management (ZDM) to provide Neat hardware-specific management features and comprehensive control of not only the meeting room software, but also the device.?
Overall the show was a tremendous success, echoing just how resilient and hardworking our industry is. Showcasing vendors shared a united and focused trajectory towards functionality and sustainability across all sectors. Amplifying a multitude of ways that businesses can adopt new technologies to enhance their business decisions, our smart space technology specialists are able to provide you with a full understanding of how to strengthen your offering within the market.
