ISA CEO Larry Clinton gives Top 10 recommendations the next Adminstration should take to improve ?#?cybersecurity?
GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO GET ITS OWN ACT TOGETHER WITH RESPECT TO CYBERSECURITY
Last week, I commented that given we have spent much of the last decade developing a consensus on an overall approach to cybersecurity as articulated in both the House GOP Task Force on Cybersecurity and President Obama’s Executive Order 13636, the one thing we don’t need from the newly appointed President’s Commission on Enhancing National Cybersecurity is a new “plan.” We need action.
For the next several weeks, I’d like to offer my own top ten list of what actions the next Administration ought to undertake to improve cybersecurity.

8 年How about greater accountability and rewards for those in Govt who take risks and deliver measurable outcomes. Too many are spending valuable time speaking at the daily talking head conferences. It's out of control!

8 年Cybersecurity -- like chasing ghosts. The offenders are one up on us and ever more creative. Scares me to death. And...I wonder if it's out there...the programming to predict terroristic activities before they happen. I was young when I saw the movie the 'Minority Report'. Loved that movie. I wish we had that ability with cybersecurity. But, then I wonder...they would, too. I'm glad to see so much more emphasis and 'action' on cybersecurity. We need to stay far ahead.
That is so true, Larry, there's been enough discussion, debate, and "sitting around admiring the problem" - government needs to set an example of taking appropriate actions internally, so that others can follow suit.
