There are 126 ways you can go about completing 5 units of work across 5 days. You could do…

  • One unit each day (1, 1, 1, 1, 1)
  • All units on the first day (5, 0, 0, 0, 0)
  • Two units on each of the first two days, one on the third, and none on the two (2, 2, 1, 0, 0)

So on and so forth.?

I used to react to unproductive days with harsh criticism; now I just see them as a part of the natural variation in effort, knowing that some days will be more productive than others, and that’s okay. Each day contributes in its own way to the bigger picture.?

Things can slow down for many reasons?—?maybe you’re not feeling well, or other parts of life are distracting you. Things can speed up for the eaxct opposite reasons.?

Run when you can run, walk when you need to walk, stop when you need to stop. It’s okay.?

Trust that you’ll get done what you need to get done.?

The Daily Spark exists for two reasons:

  1. To document one idea every day that I've found helpful in my life.
  2. To inspire you to discover what matters most and to take action towards it.
