The Irrefutable Results of Focus
Focus is to time like money is to money
Let me explain.
It is common knowledge that it takes money to make money, or better more money = more money.
Jess has $1,000,000, Joan has $100,000, both invents their money with a 10% return… Join received a check for 100,000 at the end of their year where Joan receives 10,000.
Focus has the same exact implication on time.
If you sit down and focus for 2 hours in a 2-hour work window then your result of time necessary to complete 2 hours of work = 2 hours.
If you focus for 1 hour in a 2 hour work window then your result of time necessary to complete 2 hours of work = 4 hours.
Do you see the problem?
Right now you are spending 10 hours to complete 2 hours of work at best… this is not a direct attack on you, but the industry in total.
I have only met a handful of recruiters or agencies that are working at 100% efficiency.
So how do we get there?
The answer is simple.
Have the right people focusing on the right jobs.
Imagine your business is not in recruitment but in aeronautics.
Designers are designing, engineers are building, IT personal are focusing on tech, finance is working out budget, etc.
If that allows the aeronautics companies to run smoothly then it can create more flow in your agency or workday.
Recruiters should recruiter, marketers should market, customer service reps would do customer service, sourcers should source, etc.
But, yet the common structure is recruiters – recruit, market, source, prep, follow up, etc.
We are losing to much time.
On top of this simple problem – solution we have another issue… personal efficiency.
The average employee spends 2 hours a day in the “productive zone.”
We can increase this by having people do things they enjoy and are good at, plus by optimizing their work station
ZERO distractions are key, and singular tasking. No social media, texting, etc. unless business-related.
If we can do these things we can optimize your productivity rapidly.
What are you waiting for?
