Dionne King, CEO and Strategic Consultant of DMK Consulting serves as guest panelist alongside diversity experts at the Alstom Women of Excellence Summit (AWE). Convening in Kansas City, the AWE Summit kicks-off the formal leadership program focused on advancing, mentoring, and producing senior women leaders. Setting its sights on achieving 25% women leadership by year 2020 in its North America locations, Alstom works to parallel its growing leadership in diversity, equity and inclusion to its established global leadership in transportation systems and advanced sustainable mobility.

King adds to the nearly 2-hour discussion:

Once we hire the best diverse talent, we have to be consistent and intentional about creating an environment where that talent feels engaged. Maximized engagement eliminates the revolving door [of attrition]."

The session includes expert advice from co-panelists Dr. Andrea Hendricks of the Federal Reserves and Dr. Cheryl McConnell of Rockhurst University on advancement and engagement for diverse employees and gender bias in performance reviews.
