IrishAngels Taps Former Director Kaitlyn Doyle for Partnership with TechNexus Venture Collaborative

IrishAngels is excited to announce the launch of our partnership with TechNexus Venture Collaborative . Included in the partnership is a corporate membership, where we will be working with former IrishAngels Director, Kaitlyn (Howard) Doyle .

Our partnership highlights our commitment to growing the venture community and supporting the strongest early-stage companies.

Instrumental in forming this partnership was former IrishAngels Director Kaitlyn Doyle, who is now a Senior Director at TechNexus. We could not be more excited to be working together with Kaitlyn again, both as our point of contact with TechNexus.

With the new support from TechNexus, we wanted to ask Kaitlyn a few questions to get her perspective on how IrishAngels helped her approach her current role, and why TechNexus partnered with IrishAngels.

Could you introduce yourself with a little background for those who don't already know you?

I'm a 2012 Notre Dame graduate, and I spent the first few years of my career in consulting and finance. In 2016, I joined IrishAngels as its Director - managing sourcing, due diligence, post investment portfolio management, and membership recruitment and engagement. In fact, I likely recruited many of the current IrishAngels members! IrishAngels was a crash course in venture capital for me; I learned all about the industry by doing it! I joined the TechNexus team in early 2020 while I was finishing up business school. Coincidentally, one of my prior IrishAngels interns (Cristin Pacifico) began working at TechNexus, and I was her reference check... suffice it to say the reference check went well!

Could you tell us a bit more about TechNexus and why you chose to partner with IrishAngels?

TechNexus is a venture collaborative; we bridge the gap between corporations and early-stage startups. Through a partnership with IrishAngels, we see an opportunity to grow relationships on both sides. The IrishAngels members represent executives at countless public and private corporations, and the IrishAngels pipeline is a great resource for us to get access to diverse deal flow and to continue to invest in the best early-stage ventures.

How did your time at IrishAngels affect how you approach your job at TechNexus??

With over 250 members, 50 portfolio companies, and many other stakeholders, IrishAngels was all about community and process. In addition to investing, I manage Venture Operations at TechNexus, dictating our sourcing, due diligence, and portfolio management strategy and process. My time at IrishAngels directly impacts how I go about bringing both process and community to the TechNexus ecosystem.

With the tenth anniversary of IrishAngels coming up, what are you most excited about for the next ten years of IrishAngels?

The Notre Dame venture landscape has expanded so much since I joined IrishAngels in 2016; I'm excited to see how ten more years of IrishAngels can continue to build ND entrepreneurs and ND venture capitalists!
