Sarah Hayes is Centre Director at PMTC which is a national state funded research centre supporting a wide range of client companies across the Irish Biopharma eco system.?With a career spanning over 20 years within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry across a variety of senior leadership roles, Sarah brings extensive experience in all aspects of the pharmaceutical lifecycle from development to technology transfer through to commercial manufacturing, validation, outsourcing, compliance management and oversight of worldwide supply chains. Sarah will present on "PMTC, our journey so far and future opportunities" sharing a high level overview of PMTC including research focus and examples of value delivered to industry as well as future direction.
Tricia Flahive is Senior Director Quality Control Operations, at Regeneron Ireland D.A.C. In her current role as Senior Director Quality Control Operations, Tricia has responsibility for Chemical, Biochemical, Microbial & Virological analysis of Formulated Drug substances (API), Drug Products and Labelled Drug Products for the global market. ?Tricia will present an overview of Regeneron, looking at how Science leads what they do and how pivotal it is to their commitment to patients. She will talk about current products, pipeline and current collaborations on new modalities at Regeneron.?

Dr. Priya Sahadevan Syamala is currently a Downstream Process Development Scientist at APC focussing on oncolytic vaccine process development, scale-up & technology transfer. Becca Dunne has been a Process Development Engineer with APC for the last 5 years, specialising in process scale up, downstream purification and computer modelling.?
The APC team will present on their approach to accelerating both the development and manufacture of an oncolytic vaccine to target an unmet patient need with a focus on: The process development challenges tackled, and milestones met to achieve the Bulk DrugSubstance (BDS) target specifications Scale-up and tech transfer strategy through a 'Science First Manufacturing' approach.
Rory Heffernan is a Senior Process Engineer with DPS Group and has spent the last 6 years designing multi-product biologics facilities for clients in Ireland, Central Europe and in the United States.?The world of biopharma is developing rapidly and the demand for multi-product facilities have been a growing trend over the past decade. With recent trends in ATMPs (e.g. mRNA and gene therapies), DPS are frequently seeing requests for open ballroom suites, mobile or modular unit operations, and single-use systems. Together with attendees Rory will discuss some budding trends in modern flexible facility design, and how Ireland’s logistical networks may hold the key to maintaining our high reputation in the global pharmaceutical supply chain.
Greg Simmonds is Head of Manufacturing for MeiraGTx, a vertically-integrated gene therapy company. A Chartered Chemical Engineer by training, Greg has over 15 years experience in the pharmaceuticals industry working as an engineer, project manager and manufacturing director. Greg will be discussing the management of scalability, agility and reliability for gene therapy manufacturing and supply chains, using examples from his experience at MeiraGTx in Ireland and UK where the company has grown rapidly to achieve Phase III clinical supply and delivery for multiple therapies and treatment areas.
Responsible for Quality and compliance activities at HTH, a leading service provider and CDMO in the cell and gene therapy space in Ireland, providing quality, regulatory, development and soon to be GMP manufacturing services to life sciences and biotech clients. Julie-Anne is responsible for QMS implementation and compliance across the organisation as well as driving strategic quality initiatives across the CGT network.??Julie-Anne will present the following; HiTech Health: preparing for the future of Cell & Gene Therapies in Ireland and beyond, through services, development and manufacturing capabilities.
