Incident at Quibdó Airport: Plane Veers Off Runway
In an incident on April 26, a Moon Flights BAe Jetstream 32EP aircraft deviated from the runway during landing at Quibdó-El Cara?o Airport (UIB), Colombia. The plane, operating as flight MF4800 from Medellín-Enrique Olaya Herrera Airport (EOH), experienced difficulties attributed to adverse weather conditions common in the region. Iranian Fighter Jet Crash
On December 16, 2023, a Sukhoi Su-22 military aircraft of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force crashed near Lake Persian, Kazerun district, Fars province, Iran, due to technical failure. The pilot successfully ejected and landed safely using the ejection seat system, with no casualties reported. This incident follows similar occurrences in Fars province in August 2022 and Hormozgan province in September 2022, involving the same model of Russian-made fighter jets. Aeromexico Flight Evacuated at O'Hare Airport
On Friday night, an Aeromexico Boeing 737-852 was struck by a luggage cart while parked at a gate at Chicago-O'Hare International Airport, IL, USA. The incident, which occurred at approximately 23:52, led to the evacuation of over 100 passengers, with no injuries reported. Chicago Police confirmed that the cart, operated by an airport worker, collided with the plane's left engine, causing minor damage to the aircraft.
