Ipsos | Political Division and Empowerment

Amid growing concerns over differing political views and violence, a recent Ipsos poll demonstrates that three quarters of Britons believe that Britain is divided these days, highlighting prominent divisions within the country right now. Alongside social unrest, we're also seeing divides on environmental issues, with a recent Ipsos survey establishing a majority support for legally binding targets to address sewage spillage into rivers and coastal waters across the UK. Whilst this indicates a desire for stronger environmental regulations, there's still a way to go in healing divisions and achieving complete consensus.

To support governments, brands and organisations in tackling divisions on ESG issues, Ipsos explores the risks and rewards of doing things differently and taking unconventional approaches. In particular, we highlight the effect of empowering advertisers to break taboos to gain more traction, and empowering employees to raise concerns in order to foster greater innovation across organisations.
